北カリフォルニア桜クィーン・プリンセス歓迎イベントをしました

１１月２３日に、南房総国際交流協会の文化交流サロンとして南房総に北カリフォルニアの日系人社会で活躍する桜クィーンとプリンセスを歓迎するイベントを行いました。
カリフォルニアで日系人として育つのはどういう事なのかというのをプレゼンテーションを通して学んだ後、参加者全員でフラ体験をしたり、一緒に盆踊りをしたりしました。生の楽器演奏に合わせたダンスの交流は盛り上がってよかったです。また、言葉が通じない時があっても気持ちが通じた、南房総の人々とカリフォルニアの日系人との交流会も楽しく過ごせました。
イベントにお越し下さった皆さん、ありがとうございました！！
今回来れなかった皆さんも、次回の文化交流サロンに是非参加して下さい。
On November 23rd, the Minamiboso International Exchange Association held a welcoming event for the Cherry Blossom Queen and Princess who are currently active in the Japanese-American community of Northern California.
After learning about what it is like to grow up Japanese American in California through a presentation, everyone participated in a hula workshop, and danced some Japanese odori together as well. The cultural dance exchange to live music was great. In addition, although each side didn’t always understand what the other was saying, somehow feelings were relayed to each other with no problem during the socializing portion of the event.
